PROPERTIES AND RATIONALE FOR THE COMPOSITION
The diet contains a restricted number of ingredients and is based on egg and rice. Both are ingredients with a low allergenicity, making them perfect ingredients in hypoallergenic diets.

Psyllium husk is a gel-forming soluble fibre, which absorbs several times its weight in liquid and is known for its beneficial effect on the regulation of the gastrointestinal tract activity.

Purine is the precursor for urate crystals. The very low dietary content of purine in combination with the reduced protein level and the induced alkaline urine pH makes it first choice for reduction of urate crystals formation.
